Waterfalls




All these pictures are of waterfalls that I've seen in the last 10 years. Some are of dubious quality. You may click on any image to see a full-sized image.

Tower Falls

Tower Falls is one of the more reachable falls in Yellowstone National Park. I took this photograph on my first visit, in 1991.
Bridalveil Falls

This is usually the first waterfall seen in Yosemite.
Illilouette Falls

Thsi waterfall is spectacular, and difficult to see. One needs to hike the Panorama Trail to have a decent look at it.
Nevada Falls

Nevada Falls is the top fall on the Merced River's Giant Staircase in Yosemite.
Vernal Falls

Vernal Falls is the bottom of the staircase.
Mossy Creek Falls

Mossy Creek is in Bryce Canyon National Park, and has a small waterfall.

Nevada Falls can be seen from the north side on the Mist Trail.
Water on Tioga Road

There is so much water flowing when the snow melts that waterfalls appear all over Yosemite. This one was on Tioga Road, just past the Yosemite Creek trailhead.

Athabasca Falls is i Jasper National Park in Alberta.

Takkakkaw is on the Kicking Horse River in Yoho National Park.

Bow Falls is in the town of Banff, Canada.
Blakiston Falls

This waterfall is in Wateron Lakes National Park in Canada. I like how the lone tree stands.
Cameron Falls

Cameron Falls is in the city of Waterton Lakes.
Grinnel Falls

Not really a waterfall, this cascade into Grinnel Lake in Montana looks nice.

Kinloch Falls are just small cascades on Kinloch stream in Scotland.

Gooseberry Falls is in northern Minnesota near Lake Superior. This picture is a very short exposure, to capture the droplets of water.
